Behind Athereon GRC there is a team from Saarbrücken united by one conviction: Compliance shouldn’t slow you down. Since our founding in 2018, we’ve been building Athereon GRC, a platform that doesn’t just make companies compliant, but more efficient. Framework-agnostic, cross-industry, European.

Our story
Eric Bach, Marius Kleber and Philippe Weyand founded Athereon GRC in 2018 with a clear thesis: GRC tools on the market were outdated—too rigid, too fragmented and slow.
All three had previously worked at leading consulting and software firms, where they’d watched companies fail because of exactly these tools. Their answer is a platform that doesn’t just document compliance on paper, but operationalizes it. Flexible enough for any framework and smart enough for growing complexity.
Today, 200+ organizations rely on Athereon GRC, from SMBs and mid-market businesses to large enterprises.
